Payments
Stripe
Stripe is the default payment rail on SMB, and connects on BOOSTER and PREMIUM too. Cards, digital wallets, subscriptions, multi-currency, marketplace payouts via Connect — all through a single OAuth flow. (On STANDARD, the rail is Square instead.)
What Stripe does with Kinchaku
- One-off checkouts — admission, bookings, retail
- Subscriptions — monthly memberships with automatic renewal
- Multi-currency — price in each workspace’s local currency
- Apple Pay and Google Pay — digital wallet acceptance, included
- 3D Secure — applied where the card issuer requires it
- Stripe Connect — marketplace and split-payment flows
What you need to connect
- A Stripe account (free to create at stripe.com)
- Admin permissions on your Kinchaku workspace
- The Stripe OAuth flow — about 60 seconds
That’s it. No API keys to copy, no webhooks to configure manually — Kinchaku handles both.
Availability by plan
| Plan | Stripe access |
|---|---|
| SMB (¥1,000 / mo) | ✓ — with 5% sales commission on Stripe transactions |
| STANDARD (¥9,000 / mo) | — Square only (Square integration) |
| BOOSTER (¥40,000 / mo) | ✓ — no commission |
| PREMIUM (Contact us) | ✓ — no commission |
On SMB, the 5% is all-in — it already includes Stripe’s processing fee. On BOOSTER and PREMIUM, Stripe’s own processing fees apply separately, per Stripe’s standard pricing.
Common workflows
- Retail coupon redemption — customer presents wallet coupon; Stripe terminal or Kinchaku-hosted checkout processes the residual amount.
- Booking deposit — booking pass issued with a Stripe-collected deposit; balance collected at check-in.
- Subscription membership — Kinchaku issues a subscription pass; Stripe bills monthly and updates pass status on payment failure.
- Marketplace payout (Connect) — multi-venue operators split each transaction between the platform account and the venue account automatically.
