Article 1 — Privacy Information
- Of the privacy information, “personal information” means “personal information” as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information: information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in the information.
- Of the privacy information, “personally referable information” means information other than the “personal information” defined above — for example, the services you have used or products you have purchased, the history of pages or advertisements you have viewed, the search keywords you have searched, the date and time of use, the method of use, the usage environment, your postal code, gender, occupation, age, IP address, cookie information, location information, and device identifiers.
Article 2 — How Privacy Information Is Collected
- When a user registers to use the service, the Company may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s licence number. We may also collect transaction records containing a user’s personal information, and information relating to payment, from our partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertising distributors; collectively, “Partners”) in connection with dealings between the user and such Partners. The Company does not supplement the personal information received from users with information collected offline.
- The Company collects history information and attribute information about users — such as the services or software used, products purchased, the history of pages or advertisements viewed, search keywords, date and time of use, method of use, usage environment (including, where the service is used via a mobile device, the communication status of that device and the various settings made when using the service), IP address, cookie information, location information, and device identifiers — when users use the services of the Company or its Partners or view their pages. By using cookies, the Company can obtain information such as the number of times your computer visits the Website and the pages visited. Through their browser settings, users may refuse to accept cookies or have a warning displayed when cookies are received.
Article 3 — Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information
The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
- To display registration information such as name, address, contact details, and payment method, the services used or products purchased, and information about their charges, so that users can view and correct their own registration information and review their usage.
- To use email addresses in order to send notices and communications to users, and to use contact information such as name and address in order to ship products to users or contact them as necessary.
- To use information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, bank account number, credit card number, driver’s licence number, and the delivery results of certified mail in order to verify a user’s identity.
- To use payment-related information — such as the names and quantities of products purchased, the type, period, and number of uses of services, billed amounts, name, address, bank account number, and credit card number — in order to bill users.
- To display information registered with the Company on input screens, or to transfer it to other services (including those provided by Partners) at the user’s instruction, so that users can enter data easily.
- To use information identifying an individual, such as manner of use, name, and address, in order to decline use by users who have violated the terms of service of this service — for example by defaulting on payment or causing damage to a third party — or who attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes.
- To use information necessary for the Company to provide its services to users — such as the content of inquiries and billing-related information — together with users’ service usage and contact details, in order to respond to inquiries from users.
Article 4 — Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
Except in the following cases, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties without first obtaining the user’s consent, save where permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.

- Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government body, a local government, or a party entrusted by either, in carrying out affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual’s consent is likely to impede the performance of those affairs.
2. Where the following matters have been announced or made public in advance
- That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties.
- The items of data provided to third parties.
- The means or method of provision to third parties.

Article 5 — Disclosure of Personal Information
When an individual requests disclosure of their personal information, the Company will disclose it to the individual without delay. However, where disclosure falls under any of the following, the Company may decline to disclose all or part of it, and where it decides not to disclose, it will notify the individual without delay. A handling fee of 1,000 yen per request applies to the disclosure of personal information.

Article 6 — Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
- Where the personal information held by the Company about a user is incorrect, the user may request the Company to correct or delete the personal information in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company.
- Where the Company receives a request under the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to comply, it will correct or delete the personal information without delay and notify the user accordingly.
Article 7 — Suspension of Use of Personal Information
Where an individual requests the suspension of use or erasure (collectively, “suspension of use, etc.”) of personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use, or that it was obtained by improper means, the Company will conduct the necessary investigation without delay and, based on the results, carry out the suspension of use, etc. of the personal information; if a leak or improper use comes to light, it will notify the individual accordingly. However, where the suspension of use, etc. would involve substantial cost or is otherwise difficult, and alternative measures necessary to protect the individual’s rights and interests can be taken, the Company will take such alternative measures.
Article 8 — Changes to this Privacy Policy
When the Company makes a material change to the personal information it collects, the purpose of use, or any other content of this Privacy Policy, it will obtain users’ prior consent and announce the change in this Privacy Policy. Except as otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy takes effect when it is posted on the Website.
